Senior Accountant

The Team

The SP HoldCo team currently consists of 9 people (7 full-time and 2 student assistants). Overall, the team focuses on the companies and financials of the current Senior Partners and other Partners at CIP.

The team plays a vital role in terms of supporting the administration of the Senior Partners’ entities. The team is responsible for providing insight on the historical financial performance (actuals) for ~60 entities. Due to the rapid growth of number of funds and investors globally, we are looking to expand the team further.

The Role 

As a result of continued growth CIP wants to strengthen its finance function with a Senior Accountant for the SP HoldCo team in Copenhagen. As our new Senior Accountant, you will become part of a growing and dynamic team and participate in developing our setup in finance.

In this role you will work closely with Finance Manager, My Tran, who joined CIP beginning of 2021 and Financial Controller, William Holm Hansen, who joined CIP in 2023 both from Deloitte. Day to day you’ll report to My.

More in detail, your tasks are expected to be, but not limited to:

  • End-to-end bookkeeping
  • Preparation of payments in the online banking tool
  • Preparation and execution of bank reconciliations, balance reconciliations etc.
  • Preparation of accruals and provisions
  • Control and support on intercompany transactions
  • Assist with collection and preparation of audit material (PBC) to the external auditors
  • Assist with review, reconciliation, and control of financial statements, tax returns etc. (the number part)
  • Assist with general administrative tasks including compliance related issues towards the banks (e.g. KYC), NemID/MitID employee signatures, preparation of documents for signatures
  • Ensure accurate documentation and archiving.

Your primary responsibility is to support the finance function in the SP HoldCo team in the above-mentioned responsibilities and task areas. To be successful in this position, it is important that you can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also being a strong team player, who contributes to the team’s dynamic in a positive matter.

You

We expect you to have a bachelor’s degree (or similar) in accounting, finance or another relevant education combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant full-time experience from a role as Senior Accountant or similar. You will contribute with your expertise, highly structured work ability and efficiency to make sure that you and the finance team continue to deliver high-quality accounting and reporting within stringent deadlines.

Given the structure of ownership across the Senior Partners and their companies, your role will include complex issues that will challenge your competencies and the need for you to acquire new knowledge on an ongoing basis especially within accounting.
