Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners

Fundraising Specialist, Investor Relations & Business Development

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investment? Then Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you.

We are currently looking for a candidate to join our Investor Relations & Business Development Team in CIP’s headquarters in Copenhagen.

The team

The Investor Relations & Business Development (IR & BD) Team in CIP covers all interactions with investors and business development activities from product and fund development to fundraising and investor engagement.

The Fundraising Team currently consists of 5 employees out of a total of approximately 50 employees in the broader IR & BD Team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the due diligence of prospective and existing investors who are looking to invest in one or more of the funds offered by CIP. As part of the job, you will get exposure to all funds and teams within CIP, as we work closely with all groups across the organisation (Investment Teams, Finance, Legal, ESG, etc.).

The IR & BD Team is an international and diverse team that is composed of professionals from different backgrounds, including investment banking, management consulting and law. The IR & BD team is based out of 5 offices across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Due to the increased demand for CIP’s funds, we are looking to expand the team further.

The role and expectations

We are looking for a candidate based in CIP’s headquarters in Copenhagen. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the investors’ due diligence part of the fundraising process. This entails collaboration and communication with both investors and internal stakeholders while ensuring that all investors are met with a high degree of professionalism throughout the process. You will be exposed to a large variety of tasks that require a deep understanding of CIP’s investment strategies and their track records, the firm’s organisational setup, financial models and ESG, as well as many of the underlying investments.

The role also involves interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, as you will be required to build both internal and external relations to succeed in the job. The role is ultimately summated in the ability to understand key concepts, compose thorough responses/solutions to investors in a diligent and commercial manner and work with more senior team members to ensure high quality and timely responses.

Your further responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the preparation of fundraising material (e.g., develop/review marketing material, case studies, sell-side due diligence questionnaires, and other material for new funds) in collaboration with other teams.
  • Writing the first draft of responses to investor questions.
  • Virtual data room management.
  • Stakeholder management as part of fundraising due diligence processes requiring close collaboration with other teams in CIP (investment teams in particular).
  • Ability to manage those senior to you to ensure clear, high quality and timely communication both internally and towards investors.
