Accounting Associate, Management Finance

The team
The Management Finance team currently consists of 14 professionals, split into two sub-teams: Accounting and Reporting. As a part of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our management entities, overseeing more than 20 entities.
The Accounting team is key to ensuring costs are impacting the proper entities and funds, with great business acumen and effective communication with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Role and responsibilities
In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting CIP’s ongoing growth and ensuring that our financial operations are well-positioned to support our strategic goals and strengthen the financial processes at CIP, driving efficiencies and ensuring smooth operation of the finance function.
Working closely with a dedicated team, you will contribute to the development and execution of a robust accounting framework.
You will report to Accounting Manager, Tanja Martinussen.
In more detail, your tasks are expected to be, but not limited to:
- Month-end close: Handling various aspects of month-end processes, such as balance sheet reconciliations, calculating and booking provisions, reinvoicing, bank reconciliation and booking, PnL specifications, ensuring input from internal and external stakeholders, review and ensuring consistent and accurate data to provide to the Reporting team.
- Accounts Payable and Expense Management: Collaborating with the Accounts Payable team to maintain accurate and efficient processing of invoices, expenses and dimension accounting. Review and control the bookkeeping and ensure correct accounting, department and entity dimensions.
- Internal processes: Identifying and driving improvements within our operations, supporting the development of our financial setup and constantly looking for automation possibilities.
- Audit: Participate and prepare audit material for interim and annual audit.
You
We’re searching for a professional with a degree in accounting, finance or another relevant field combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time experience from a similar role, who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and is motivated by complex tasks. This role demands a high level of stakeholder management and the ability to handle complexity and tight deadlines with precision.
Additionally, you have:
- Very good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with a good ability to handle multiple priorities and manage expectations.
- A forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, with an eagerness to take ownership of tasks and advance them to completion.
- Experience with tight month-end procedures and more technical accounting tasks.
- High-level analytical abilities with the capability to review and interpret data critically and efficiently.
- Proficiency in both Danish and English.
- Significant knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- A growth mindset, eager to take on complex tasks and collaborate with a team the values initiative and innovation.
