Student Analyst, Flagship Investment Management

About the team and the position
You will join a highly motivated international group of best-in-class colleagues with exceptional experience in investments, energy and infrastructure assets. The Flagship Fund Investment Management Team has a direct impact on the long-term success of CIP and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP including the Investment, Financial Analysis, Finance and Legal teams.
As a Student Analyst, you will contribute to the delivery of large-scale infrastructure investments, including involvement in refinancing and divestment processes across the APAC and across various assets, including offshore wind, onshore wind, and solar PV. You will work closely with a highly experienced investment management team in a high-pace dynamic environment. CIP will constantly seek to challenge and inspire you while focusing on your learning and personal development. Top-performing Student Analysts may receive an offer to join us as full-time Associates upon graduation.
Your responsibilities
Key work areas include:
Working together with industrial partners and advisors
Visualization and presentation of technical and financial data to stakeholders
Conducting market research and analysis
The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on, with flexibility expected from both sides. You will be given the opportunity to influence your daily routine and schedule
The position is part-time and based in CIP’s Tokyo office.
Your qualifications
CIP is looking for students majoring in Economics, Finance or any other relevant field with expected graduation in summer/autumn 2025. We look for the following in a candidate:
Top academic performance and strong analytical skills
Strong work ethic with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Team player with positive and open attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (any additional Asian language would be a plus)
Thriving with responsibility and displaying attention to detail
Interest in project/corporate finance and M&A
Curious and creative mindset with an ability to work independently
Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
