The team
As our new Head of Learning and Development, you will join a growing People team consisting of +20 colleagues covering the entire employee lifecycle to deliver our aspiration to reach EUR 100bn through People.
The role
The Head of Learning and Development will shape and implement our L&D strategy, collaborating closely with senior leadership and internal / external teams to deliver these programs. This role will focus on designing high-quality learning programs, establishing and managing performance metrics, and maximizing the return on our L&D investment.
You will work with driving the conceptualization of business-focused development requests into engaging learning and development activities and offerings, covering different pillars of our learning and development agenda. This could be within DE&I, Leadership Enablement, culture driving activities, bringing world class knowledge to our global organization through CIP Academy and making sure our onboarding experience will be best in class.
You will report to our Head of Talent in CIP, and will be part of Talent team leadership, working closely with CHRO Leadership team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative hands-on leader to join our team to develop and deliver this exciting L&D agenda with a minimum of 8 years of relevant full-time experience. You could come from a L&D role, broader People & Culture role, or come from a consultancy focusing on learning and development where you developed and implemented a broad range of learning and development activities from concept to facilitation.
Moreover, you have a relevant bachelor's degree within Business, Human Resources, Economics, Finance, or other related fields. Master’s degree or professional certifications in HR or L&D preferred.
Key qualifications include:
Strategic leadership:
- Ideally in HR/L&D space with proven track-record and ability to develop, implement, and adapt learning strategies to support organizational goals.
Program/Project Management:
- Comprehensive organizational and project management skills to deliver multiple programs, deadlines, and external delivery teams, ensuring timely and high-quality execution in a fast-paced environment across a wide range of work streams/projects with constantly shifting priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence:
- Advanced stakeholder management with the ability to inspire, guide, and build trust with both internal stakeholders and delivery partners. High interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for working effectively across teams and building a collaborative work environment. Hands-on leader, comfortable using PowerPoint for CXO level presentations. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Analytical Thinking:
- Ability to assess complex needs, analyze data, and make informed, strategic decisions to ensure L&D outcomes. Proficiency in setting and analyzing KPIs, tracking learning outcomes, and leveraging data insights for continuous improvement. Expertise in budgeting, managing financial resources, and optimizing costs to deliver effective and efficient L&D programs. Hands-on leader, comfortable using Excel for basic analyses e.g., pivot tables.
Drive and adaptability:
- Resilient, service minded and positive pragmatic attitude with a great desire to work in a growing international organization. Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic team player who is proactive and resourceful. Flexibility to adapt strategies and programs to changing business needs, with a proactive approach to delivering new, innovative learning solutions.
Hands-on leader:
- Bias on delivering impact and content, not just process management. Comfortable rolling up the sleeves to get things done and lead content problem-solving from the front, working with lean, high impact teams.
